Too many people are still dental phobics on the Sunshine Coast!
We want to see happy kids, and stress free mums and dads!
The aim is to create kids (and adults) who have no reason to be scared or anxious about the dentist, and for visits to be easy for parents.
Invisalign is a virtually invisible solution for straightening your teeth – so you can smile DURING, as well as after treatment. In fact, no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell them. By using a series of clear removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes.
There are several options for you to consider if you would like the “PERFECT SMILE”.
We prefer to build a trusting relationship over the use of drugs, but occasionally past dental experiences have created deep seated anxieties that need to be addressed. Sometimes a little help is required to help overcome these anxieties… at least until patients find out that our treatment is not as scary as they imagined!
Some people unfortunately are not blessed with naturally white bright teeth. Food and drink, smoking, as well as thinning of the enamel due to acids or ageing can all further darken teeth. Most people can restore a brighter smile with expert bleaching of the teeth.
Implants are man-made replacements for teeth that have been lost. They behave just like real roots – even bonding naturally with the jawbone. We call this ‘osseointegration’. This simple surgery can transform your confidence and improve your looks.
Cosmetic dentistry is all about appearance – making teeth whiter, straighter or more even, gums that are a healthy pink colour and smiles that sparkle.
Tooth extraction procedures today are far less painful than ever before, thanks to powerful anaesthetics and sedative procedures.
Follow the basic first aid steps below if you’re unfortunate enough to find yourself in a dental emergency. First things first, give us a call on 5444 7111 and speak to one of our receptionists to organise an appointment – or if it’s after hours leave a message.
When a tooth is heavily filled, had root canal treatment, is badly broken or at risk of fracturing, a crown can rebuild it to good long-term function.
Traditionally, the process of a crown is roughly a two-week turnaround.
You visit the practice and you are fitted with a temporary crown while you wait around two weeks while an external laboratory mills your crown. After two weeks you then return to the practice for your crown to be cemented. With Cerec crowns, this is now a thing of the past!
We are proud to announce that we have been selected as the exclusive Sunshine Coast dental practice to work with Dr. Tony Rotondo and the ‘Next Smile’ team in restoring the incredible ‘All-on-4’ implant system.
The ‘All-on-4’ treatment is a fixed (no need to take it in and out) implant system that is an alternative to the traditional denture. With a clinically proven 98% success rate, you can say goodbye to wearing a denture and instead, your whole new, beautiful smile will be supported by just 4 dental implants.
In skilled hands, it is a non-painful procedure…. contrary to current urban myths!!
We take pride at Kawana Dental in reversing those myths and painlessly changing a diseased tooth surrounded by unhealthy bone into health.
The Australian Dental Association strongly recommends the use of a mouthguard in any sport or activity where collision or contact is likely, during both games and training. Dental injuries are often difficult to treat and can involve a lifetime of expense.
We are happy to be able to offer payment plans for treatment, including orthodontics.
For orthodontics, our payment plans are “in-house” (or we offer a discount for treatment paid in full). For other types of treatment, such as implants, crowns, etc, we utilise a third party called Denticare.
